Jeff Ward
Attorney
Jeff Ward is an honors graduate of the University of Memphis, where he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Political Science, and received his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. Before practicing law, he worked in law enforcement and security for over a decade and later served as an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis. He was also the Special Judge for the City of Millington, Tennessee for nearly ten years. Mr. Ward’s practice includes civil litigation, business and contract law, entertainment law, family and juvenile law, criminal law, and construction law. He represents government entities and political candidates, serves as City Attorney for Maury City, Tennessee, and is General Counsel for the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women. He enjoys reading nonfiction, writing, target shooting, hunting, abstract painting, and collecting art, and he and his wife, Christal, have three sons.

Christal oversees the firm’s office operations, marketing, public relations, and billing, and also manages additional businesses she owns with her husband, Jeff. She is heavily involved in the firm’s juvenile and abuse cases and is dedicated to protecting children. She is currently studying business and finance and enjoys time with her family, cooking, target shooting, kickboxing, concerts, and University of Memphis football games.
Christal Ward
Office Manager/Legal Assistant

Heather Hill earned a B.S. in Business from Capella University and a Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. She previously served as Vice President of Electronic Banking at National Bank of Commerce, Senior Financial Analyst at Medtronic, and corporate counsel for Evergreen Packaging, Inc., before operating a successful private practice. She served on the Tipton County CASA board and was a member of the Memphis Bar Association.
Ms. Hill retired in mid-2016 and now enjoys life in Costa Rica and other tropical destinations. She is greatly missed.
Heather Hill
Retired Attorney

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He is currently attending the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. Andrew enjoys target shooting and the outdoors, is an accomplished musician, and serves as the firm’s go-to resource for IT support.

Shirley Ward
Retired Office Manager/Paralegal
Shirley Ward attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and the National Institute for Paralegal Arts and Sciences and serves as the firm’s paralegal. She has held numerous leadership roles within the Tennessee and National Federations of Republican Women, including serving as Tennessee Federation President, National Campaign Chairman, and on national and state nominating committees. She was also President of the Tipton County Republican Women, where she was named Republican Woman of the Year, and has served in senior roles for multiple political campaigns and party organizations.
Ms. Ward has also served on the boards of the Tipton County Chamber of Commerce, the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and other civic organizations, earning multiple leadership honors throughout her career.

Doug Ward
Goodwill Ambassador
Doug Ward was a retired insurance adjuster with more than forty years of experience. A former U.S. Army Ranger who served during the Korean War, he studied law through LaSalle Extension Services and completed extensive training in personal injury, property damage, arson, and accident reconstruction. Doug also served as the firm’s ambassador of goodwill and handyman. He passed away on January 6, 2021, and is greatly missed.

Jody South
Law Clerk
Jody South is a part-time law clerk with the Ward Law Firm. Jody is a senior at the University of Memphis' Kemmons Wilson Culinary Insitute in the School of Hospitality and Resort Management. After graduating, Jody's intention is to attend law school. He is interested in food and water safety and environmental related issues. Jody is an accomplished guitar player and he enjoys writing and recording his original works.

John Evans
Investigator
John Evans serves as the firm’s Chief Investigator and has more than ten years of experience in security and investigations. A recognized firearms expert with twenty-five years in the firearm industry, he is actively involved in state and national Second Amendment issues and serves as Co-Chairman of the Tipton County Friends of the NRA. John enjoys motorcycle riding, hunting, camping, and other outdoor activities, and donates his time to charitable efforts supporting veterans and law enforcement.

Joshua South
Process Server
Joshua South is the Ward Law Firm's process server. Joshua is a student at Dyersburg State Community College and is employed full-time with a local fire department. Joshua enjoys target shooting, fishing and else anything outdoors.

Abbie Joyner
Nursing Consultant
Abbie Joyner is the Ward Law Firm's nursing consultant. Abbie received her Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree from the University of Memphis' Loewenburg College of Nursing. Abbie was also a member University of Memphis' cheerleader squad. Abbie is currently employed full-time in the NICU department at an area hospital. Abbie is an animal lover and enjoys the outdoors.

Tina Seymour
Unaffiliated Contract Attorney
Attorney Tina Seymour works with the firm on a contract basis for special projects requiring advanced medical regulatory and compliance expertise. She has over twenty-two years of professional medical experience, has been published in medical trade journals, and regularly speaks on topics ranging from critical patient care to corporate compliance and auditing.
Ms. Seymour has extensive specialized training, holds Mississippi licenses in law and respiratory therapy, and is a licensed real estate broker. She is admitted to all Mississippi state and federal courts and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and has received multiple professional honors for her work.
